DAY eighty-nine
Man, do I love a good double entendre. Tonight's is courtesy of Dinkytown Tattoo - the site of Alex's inaugural inking.

DAY eighty-eight
I laughed so hard at this that I nearly choked. I live alone. And am almost 24. The mirth caused by this image was almost the death of me.

DAY eighty-seven
Sometimes your tunes are just so jammin' you have no choice but to rock the heck out at the bus stop. In public. I've got a minute long video of this, which only represents a tenth of the show I got to see.

DAY eighty-five
Sometimes Ki wears men's socks to try on shoes. Sometimes this makes her look like a grandpa. "Maybe jog in them?"

DAYS seventy-one through seventy-seven
Oy with the poodles, already! September is the month of insanity schedule-wise. I've got so much going on that I didn't have time for a week of posting. Here's the deal, I'm moving to a new format: picture plus short caption. If you want the fill-in life details you will just have to ask. I think if this picture a day blog is really just a picture each day I'll be able to manage. So many spinning plates in the air, so few hands. So, here's some picture mush from this past week to fill the gap between new and old. Enjoy!

DAY seventy
Football weekend continued with my first (and the first at home) Gopher game! Goldy ended up doing lots of pushups as the footballers led us to a victory against New Hampshire and their not so Wildcats. Who knew they even had football in New Hampshire? They must play at the country club (which is just one of the million stereotypical jokes we made at their expense).
DAY sixty-nine
Let's all take a moment to indulge our 13 year old boy humor...69 hahaha. Okay, done.
This was a mixed bag Friday. Started (very early...and possibly still drunk) with a training in becoming an ally for diversity and equity, had a much needed but completely unplanned nap, then ended with the first home game for the Stillwater HS Ponies. Because Ki an I want nothing more than to live a Friday Night Lights kind of life.

DAY sixty-eight
PUMPKIN. SPICE. LATTE.
Now that we've all quit drooling, this morning was wildly productive. I had a whole day before I even left for work/class. I think we can credit the whipped cream topped cup of fall for my willingness to get out of my bed cocoon. After class I went out for my first dollar drink night in Dinkytown with some lovely undergrads, of which there is no photographic evidence (for good reason). This will not be the last Dinkytown adventure, I'm sure.

DAY sixty-seven
I worked so hard at work today! Well, that, and I ate a free JJ's lunch courtesy of my supervisor. Noms. The day ended with a 4:43 fire alarm/evacuation, which led to me working until 5:30 to finish what I had been working on until I was priced to stand outside Coffman listening to sirens and judging people. I finally got home and decided that a plate full of carbs was all I wanted.

DAY sixty-six
Today was my first day of 17th grade! I put on my big girl backpack, scrambled to finish the reading before class, and was handed the below pictured fifty-two page syllabus. Say what? The syllabus is 52 PAGES LONG. Now I've just got to start practicing sounding more articulate and worldly than I really am to impress the PhD students in my class. They have an intimidating list of academic achievements and career successes and I'm, well, 23. It's on, future higher ed docs. It's on like Donkey Kong.
DAY sixty-five
Minnesota State Fair round two: this time with the hubs and Alex. We did it down and dirty style. Hit it and quit it. I don't even have photographic evidence of the excursion, but suffice it to say it was sweltering hot, the mass exodus of animals was taking place, everything was overrun by the teen fans of Wiz Khalifa, and I ate more fried and unhealthy noms.
DAY sixty-four
More Hills marathoning, followed by a visit to Alex's new digs complete with Mama H and her sisters and some quality bonding time with Andy. Overall a fantastic night with the best company. I haven't laughed that much in a long time. Oh, and Mama H used generic Cub brand canola oil spray to stop the squeak in a chair.
9.02.2012
DAY sixty-three
The Hills was on tv all day...which means that's what I did. I also did some cleaning of the casa and became addicted to a new game on my phone. Not gonna lie, I'm really super good at this game.

DAY sixty-two
After being complimented on my "cute dress" by a tattooed gardener, Ki and I headed to Boca for some Mexican noms. Future hubs made us some killer free margs as we planned our "second date" at the fair on Labor Day. Let's see if he actually shows up this time. I'm still waiting to see Batman, so I won't hold my breath. Alex was working which was a most delightful surprise, and her volunteering to document the humble beginnings of my love affair with Mr. Bartender, well, that was just the icing on the cake. She's a gem. Ki and I took our Friday night party to the family casa in Stilly to watch Gran Torino. Good film, and further proof that Clint was most likely stroking out at the RNC. I took the below pictured keepsake home from Boca as proof that hubs actually likes me sometimes. On to the weekend!
DAY sixty-one
I became oriented to my grad program today, and then went back to the office to draft the best fantasy football team EVER. No lie. I'm killing it.
